The idea came from a conversation I was having with a practitioner, started to germinate on a long walk, and took root when my curiosity could no longer be satiated by hypothetical scenarios. The question seemed simple enough: “If the visions produced during mirror scrying are at least in part influenced by what little light is reflected by a single candle and the smoke from incense…what visions could be produced if you removed those variables and stared straight into something that absorbs 98.8% of all light? Would the absence of light bring you closer to the truth of nothingness? Could it serve as a speed dial to the Void?”

The Void Mirror went through several prototypes using two different types of paint that took months to source. But that’s not what you want to know about. You want to know if it works.

This is a tool like anything else, and a tool is only as good as the hands that wield it. your mileage most certainly will vary. I do not recommend this tool if you have little experience with scrying, are uncomfortable with the feeling of infinite vastness, or are uncomfortable with yourself. I do recommend it if you’re handy with casting a circle, and with fucking around and finding out. I advise both.

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING: These mirrors are created using a carbon-based paint that I have intentionally not applied varnish or sealant to, so as not to compromise its depth of blackness. As such, touching the mirror may impart the oil from your fingers onto it. This does not impact the efficacy so much as it impacts the finish, though it may also affect your scrying experience. I’m unsure of that. Please just handle it quite carefully and for all the gods’ sake, COVER IT UP WHEN NOT IN USE.
